Open Area

In the open area, traditional high powered RF repeaters cannot function due to massive oscillation between the donor and coverage antennas.

RF Window’s ICS technology however solves open area coverage problems providing a cost effective solution in a variety of different scenarios to deliver a ubiquitous last mile solution for Mobile Network Operators including the following popular solutions.

Shadow Areas

The biggest problem within cellular networks is shadow areas.  Shadow areas reduce signal quality and cause dropped calls.  To remove these shadow areas, ICS repeaters are installed to redirect pilot signals to the affected/target areas.

One example and common cause of shadow areas is new building construction. RF Window ICS open area systems provide a cost effective solution for covering these shadow areas.

ICS expands coverage to provide solutions for; Highways, Tunnels,
Suburban and Rural Areas (including seaside areas).

Data Rates

ICS open area systems are also an ideal cost-effective solution for increasing data speeds in the network, this is increasingly important for Mobile Network Operators as end users migrate to 3G capable phones.
