Application
Shadow Fading Areas
The many problems caused by signal attenuation are solved by RF Window’s ICS solutions being integrated into the network. The system moves coverage around obstacles minimizing signal attenuation while maximizing network capability.
RF Window ICS averts signal attenuation, wirelessly moving BTS coverage to shadow areas as needed.
Shrinking Cells
The holes created between shrinking cells during peak call periods in CDMA and UMTS networks can be filled by ICS system solutions providing stable, consistent service.
Pilot Pollution
Call connection and call quality problems caused by co-channel interference between base stations (found in many dense urban areas when base stations are abundant) can be simply dealt with by installing an ICS system near the affected area to boost the coverage of one BTS over competing BTS pilot signals.
ICS easily resolves pilot pollution problems found within cellular networks.
Suburban and Rural Areas
Using our ICS solution, coverage can be efficiently extended to less heavily populated areas where providing a cost effective solution is more difficult for MNO’s.
ICS expands coverage to areas where coverage is need needed most eg. Highways, Tunnels and Suburban and Rural Areas.
High Data Rate Services
By deploying RF Window’s ICS units into the network where needed, data rate delivery speeds can be increased giving MNO’s the opportunity to increase ARPS (Average Revenue Per. Subscriber).
Image from a field trial in Taiwan – with ICS on, a much stronger pilot channel is present increasing high speed data packet access (HSDPA) service availability.
